Cal Spa's 40-acre flagship manufacturing complex is in Pomona, California. Here we design, rigorously test and produce every custom Spas. Each Spa is crafted to meet demanding quality specifications and is subjected to multiple quality and performance tests every step of the way.

Tooling Department
Cal Spas offers more than 300 different Spa molds, allowing us to produce more than 4 million different custom-built designs. The design and development never ends as we are proudly dedicated to developing new ways to improve our superior, award winning Spas.

Vacuum Form Department
Our demanding manufacturing process starts with sheets of top quality acrylic being carefully molded into the perfect shell, precisely fitting the custom specifications of each order.

Fiberglass Department
Next, Cal Spas really builds the quality into the Spa. Seven layers of fiberglass, specially reinforced with steel and wood stiffeners, lend strength and durability to our exclusive Fibersteel Construction process.

Trim Department
After an intensive drying process, the edges and lips of the shell are trimmed to exact dimensions. Every corner is then carefully seated in the frame skirt, with great care taken to eliminate any gaps. The shell is scored from within, then drilled from the outside, to eliminate the possibility of cracking or stress.

Drilling Department
Finally, the drilled out areas are perfectly smoothed to ensure that all plumbing hardware will precisely fit without any leaking. Each step in our manufacturing process is concentrated on building the quality in, before you ever step foot into the Spas.

Silicone and Pre-harness Department

Plumbing System Installation
Here we install pre-made harnesses which help simplify and add consistency to the plumbing installation process. In later steps, these harnessess will help connect all the key elements of our Positive Pressure System, Flow Thru Manifolds, Optimum Jet designs, GE Pumps, and much more. All of these elements combine to create the very finest water flow and delivery system presently available anywhere.

Test Line
Every part of a Cal Spa Home Resort Spa is rigorously tested and re-tested. Plumbing lines, bleeder valves, control panels and sensors are meticulously assembled and subjected to multiple load tests before being installed.

Creative Wood Designs' Cabinets
While the hidden elements of each Spa progress through their various stages of assembly, another of our divisions, Creative Wood Designs, simultaneously crafts a selection of handsome, rugged cabinets to surround your Spa.

Unmatched Woodworking Experience
Our credentials in superb woodworking aren't limited to cabinet building. Creative Wood Designs, the world's largest manufacturer of Redwood Gazebos, is also the industry leader in innovative Sauna design.

Equipment Installation Department
Here's where the meticulously crafted Spa shells and all the quality-tested equipment join together in beautifully crafted cabinets. Final plumbing assembly is also completed here. Then jets and pillows are installed before the Spa is thoroughly cleaned, and once again inspected.

Water Testing Department
Cal Spas also conducts thorough and systematic Amperage, heater, control panel, jet, diverter, leak, and drain checks. We eliminate problems before they have a chance to arise, so you are spared the hassles and the worry.

Foam Department
Injecting High Density Thermos Foam Insulation locks all plumbing into place, and dramatically reduces equipment noise levels. This insulation provides maximum, environment-friendly, money saving, energy efficiency performance.

Thorough Foam Application
High-pressure spray units pack High Density Thermos Foam Insulation throughout the under-sections of a finely constructed Spa. One result is a Spa that runs efficiently and uses less energy, allowing lower energy operating costs.

Detailing Department
Final installation, cleaning and, additional quality checks are performed before completion. The entire Spa, and its numerous components, is checked again. Every aspect of the final product is carefully reviewed to determine that everything fits and functions as designed, and is cosmetically flawless.

Every minute surface of your new Spa is inspected and cleaned before being shipped. You can relax knowing that your Spa is ready for use upon delivery.

Wrapping the Quality
In Once a new Spa is spotless, and has passed all our final inspections, we thoroughly cushion, wrap and seal it. Every Spa leaving our factory is ready to be used.
